If I give you my car how long will I be without it?"
It really depends on several things. Firstly, type and extent of damage as well as if it's a cosmetic and/or body shop repair. In most cases if it's minor cosmetic damage repairs can be done while you wait or outside your home/work. If it is not cosmetic and has to be taken to one of our garages, we aim to return vehicles to their owners within 3-4 days - minimising vehicle loss and inconvenience.

"Are you able to repair my bumper split and severe scuffing to off-side skirting?"
Indeed we can. We'll save you lot's of money and time by using a method of plastic welding to fuse back the bumper to its original state, colour match and re-spray. The skirting can be restored without having to replace as well.

"Will my wheels look like new?
Yes. In most cases only the 'trained eye' will detect that they are not factory prepared but as our photos show they will look great.

"wheel refurbishing, will it add value to my car?"
Concerning value, wheels are as important to a car as ones kitchen or garden is important to ones home. These improvements add value.

"Can you colour match my wheels & bumper?"
Yes, colour matching can be done. It's also far faster and easier if the paint codes are supplied. Obtaining the colour code for an alloy is very difficult so in some cases getting as close as possible is what is done.

"Do you lacquer the wheel?"
Yes we use the correct techniques on all vehicle repairs. Only the best two part lacquer is used on all alloy and bodywork repairs. This both protects and gives a glossy finish to the paintwork.

"Can you spray my rims another colour (i.e white)?"
Your rims can be sprayed any colour, for an additional £19.99 for one £29.99 for two or £49.99 for a complete set of four. Paint swatches are not used for this exclusive service so you'll have to provide paint codes.

"I only have a little scuff on my alloy... do I have to pay the full amount?"
Prices vary depending on size of alloy, type of alloy, damage etc. Check out the alloy wheel refurbishment page for prices.

"Is a Mobile service offered?"
Due to the nature of the job, requiring highly technical specialist equipment, as well as refinishing the entire alloy wheel, mobile service is not available.

"How does the process work?"
We ensure that the wheels are chemically stripped, removing existing finish, our technicians then check alloys for flat spots, run-out, & possible rim damage then they're repaired as necessary. Before paint is applied to all wheels they are blasted using stainless steel to correctly prepare the surface. Alloys, finally are then painted, powder coated and lacquered (if necessary and/or requested!) for a very durable finish!

"How long does it take?"
During our quiet periods alloy wheel refurbishment for a standard refurbishment will complete between 2 - 5 days. Non-standard work and 2 piece wheels may take longer. A more accurate time can be given when an order is placed.

"Can you match the original finish?"
In most cases we can, for standard colours, which means you can just have 1 wheel refurbished. For special colours it is sometimes better to have 2 or 4 wheels refinished because of the difficulty in matching without a code or formula

"Are you able to refurbish 2 /3 piece wheels?"
Nearly all 2 piece wheels can be refinished (please contact us before posting alloy wheel(s)). We do not refurbish 3 piece alloys!

"Can you repair wheels?"
We can repair most wheels for buckles, flat spots, rim damage, scratches, small/mediun size cracks (subject to inspection and/or pictures) be aware that we will only carry out repairs we consider to be safe.

"What colours and finishes are available?"
Bodyworkxpress.com refinish using any colour from all leading paint manufacturers (once manufacturers colour code has been supplied) We also use all the latest finishes (subject to availability) including silver/black chrome paints for specialist work. Customers seeking change of appearance to their alloy wheels can use our specialist machining service.

"What warranty do you offer?"
12-month warranty on wheels that are painted all over and 6 months on wheels that have a diamond cut finish. Some wheels because of inherent problems are excluded from this warranty.

"How do I look after my refurbished wheels?"
Alloy wheels that have been refurbished and have a lacquered finish simply require washing using only soapy water regularly to stop/remove brake dust and road dirt.
Alloys that are not lacquered (for whatever reason) will need to be waxed regularly using a good quality vehicle wax to protect alloys from corrosion and maintain a brilliant shine.

"Can I bring my alloys to you?"
Certainly, to anyone of our repair centres (add link to this page) listed on this page.
