Airbags and seatbelts are a very serious, important (health &) safety feature! Seatbelts have been a standard feature in vehicles for quite some time. Car manufacturers have had to install seatbelts since 1965 but it didn’t become mandatory for motorists to wear them until 1983.

Mercedes Benz were the first to introduce airbags to a production car in 1981. They Started with the S Class range. Ford Mondeo installed a driver airbag as standard in their 1993 model.
